Financial Aid Information

Welding

Moore Tech uses the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To apply, go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and complete the form. We do not permit federal loans. Our students use federal Pell grants, which do not have to be paid back.

The FAFSA school code for Moore Tech (The William R. Moore College) is 013531 - you will need this code to complete the form.

You should apply for financial aid as soon as possible.

Veterans Affairs

Veterans, active duty service members and other persons eligible for veteran’s benefits may obtain information and the forms necessary to apply for benefits from the Moore Tech Administration Office. They will need to submit a copy of their DD-214 with the application.

Workforce Investment Network (WIN) Funds

Moore Tech is an approved WIN training provider for our Machine Shop, Industrial Electricity & Plant Maintenance, Welding, and Plumbing programs. If students qualify, it can be used for day or night students. Get more information on WIN.

Scholarships

Currently we offer two scholarships. The Pyramid Peak scholarship assists deserving recent high school students and individuals up to the age of 21 at Moore Tech who show financial need. This program can be used for both day and night programs. To apply, please complete the Pyramid Peak Scholarship Application form as soon as possible and submit it along with your admission application. The Optimist scholarship is also need-based and is available to students ages 18-24. You may complete the Optimist Youth Foundation form and submit it with your application. To document financial need, students must also apply for Federal Financial Aid. If you have financial need or your Federal Financial Aid does not cover any or all of your tuition and fees, you need to apply for the scholarship.
